If you use water in your product or if there is a possibility that water may get in your product, you will need to add a preservative. Liquid Germall Plus is a Paraben free preservative that protects against mold and bacteria in lotion and scrub.
Excellent broad spectrum antimicrobial preservative. No known inactivators. Compatible with virtually all cosmetic ingredients. Good for water based formulas including lotion, body butter, hair care products and scrubs. Not to be used in aerosols. Thick consistency.
This is a preservative that is intended to prevent the growth of Bacteria, Mold, and Yeast in products.
Common uses: soaps, lotions, creams, scrubs, skincare formulas. Not recommended for lips.
You can use this preservative for any product with a pH of 3-8.
It works best in oil-based recipes.

This product is not recommended for cold process soap, melt and pour soap, bath bombs, eye or lip products
Usage Instructions: Use at 0.1 to 0.5 percent of the total weight in oil-based products like lotion and scrub. Add the Liquid Germall Plus when your product is 122 degrees fahrenheit or below. Higher temperatures can degrade the preservative. This product is heat sensitive and should be added at a temperature of 122°F (50°C) or below. The recommended usage rates are provided only as a guideline to proper preservation. All new formulations should be tested to ensure preservative efficacy. This preservative has a thicker consistency and should be measured by weight, as a dropper may be difficult to use.
